Success story — Spitzke

A company-wide, multilingual platform.

It replaces a WordPress landscape grown over more than ten years, with TWIG templates and many in-house and third-party developments — built with Svelte and Payload, flexible to maintain and, for the first time, connected via API to the HR software Easysoft.

01Challenge

Grown, tangled, hard to maintain.

The website is also a central marketing instrument — especially for HR and the Spitzke Academy. Accordingly, the starting point brought several requirements at once.

01

Integration into the legacy system

The new platform had to fit cleanly into the grown legacy landscape.

02

Hybrid transition

The switch was to happen step by step, in a temporarily hybrid structure of old and new.

03

Many companies, one backend

Several companies of the group were to run on a shared backend.

04

Different editors

Different editorial teams need to maintain content together, but in an orderly way.

05

Focus points for images

Images need defined focus points so that crops work sensibly in every format.

06

Maintain corporate design

For all its flexibility, the corporate design must be preserved throughout.

07

Visible through SEO

As a marketing instrument, the website must be easy to find in search.

08

High speed

Short loading times are a must — for the user experience as well as for visibility.

02Solution

A platform that grows with you.

We rebuilt the entire landscape: a fast Svelte frontend, backed by Payload as a flexible, headless content system. The editorial team now shapes content more freely while the corporate design is preserved.

The multilingual platform — German, English and French — also bundles the internal area of the Spitzke Academy. Via APIs it is connected to the HR software Easysoft and to the employee app, and it runs in a provided cloud with a matching security concept.

03Result

Faster, calmer, economical.

Performance and bug problems are a thing of the past, maintenance is far simpler, and the ongoing development effort has dropped sharply. A maintenance-heavy patchwork has become a sustainable, economical platform.

The editorial team works more flexibly without losing the corporate design, and the HR integration connects processes end to end for the first time.
