Success story — Schneider Electric

A B2B configurator for distribution boxes.

For Schneider Electric it configures individual distribution boxes, automatically selects the right enclosure and passes the result as an order-ready cart to the wholesaler integration — including documentation.

01Challenge

The right configuration from a huge kit.

To make this work, several requirements had to come together.

01

Huge kit

From an enormous range of components, the right combination has to be found quickly.

02

No selection errors

Every combination must be valid so that no faulty configurations arise.

03

Guided & transparent

The previously explanation-heavy process should run simply and transparently.

04

Instantly visible

The result should appear immediately as a to-scale graphic instead of being drawn manually.

02Solution

A configurator that thinks along.

We developed a web-based configurator that thinks along. A sophisticated pre-configuration makes even technically demanding orders possible with just a few clicks, automatically selects the right enclosure and checks every combination for validity. The result appears instantly as a to-scale graphic.

Via the wholesaler integration, the configuration is available directly as an order-ready cart, and matching documentation is generated automatically for every configuration. The technical rules around the distribution boxes are fully mapped in the system.

03Result

From click to finished graphic.

Configurations are now created directly in the browser, the result is immediately visible as a graphic and available as an order-ready cart in wholesale — with matching documentation included. The guided selection reduces errors, and an explanation-heavy process becomes a fast, self-service flow.

The clean separation of a reactive Svelte frontend and Python logic keeps the solution maintainable and extensible — a foundation on which further product areas can be mapped.
